About the Opportunity:
We are hiring a Junior Accountant for a growing organization based in Vidyavihar West, Mumbai.
This role is ideal for detail-oriented commerce graduates who want to build a strong foundation in accounting, financial reporting, taxation support, and compliance.
If you are analytical, organized, and eager to grow in the accounting profession, this opportunity offers structured exposure to core finance functions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Daily Accounting Operations:
Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger,
Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR),
Prepare bank and credit card reconciliations, and
Verify and post financial transactions in accounting software,
2. Month-End & Year-End Support:
Assist in month-end closing activities,
Support statutory and internal audits, and
Maintain proper accounting records and documentation.
3. Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare basic financial reports and schedules,
Assist in budget monitoring and variance analysis, and
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
4. Compliance & Documentation:
Support tax preparation and regulatory filings,
Maintain invoices, receipts, and transaction records,and
Ensure adherence to internal controls and financial procedures.
Qualifications:
🎓 Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com preferred)
💼 Experience: 0–2 years of experience (Internship experience considered)
Exposure to accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle is an advantage
🛠 Required Skills:
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles,
Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables preferred),
High attention to detail and accuracy,
Good communication and organizational skills, and
Ability to meet deadlines and work both independently and in a team.
