Who Needs to Link PAN with Aadhaar?
All individual taxpayers, including NRIs and senior citizens (80+)
PAN holders who obtained their PAN using Aadhaar Enrolment ID before October 1, 2024
How to Link PAN with Aadhaar:
1. Visit the Income Tax e-Filing portal (http://www.incometax.gov.in/)
2. Click on “Link Aadhaar” under Quick Links
3. Enter PAN, Aadhaar, and mobile number
4. Verify OTP
5. Pay penalty (if applicable, â‚ą1,000)
Reactivation of PAN:
PAN can be reactivated within 30 days after linking Aadhaar
Penalty of â‚ą1,000 applies for late linking
