RDI Pvt. Ltd. is a leading design, trading, and exports company based in Mumbai, India. The company has established a strong global presence and specializes in design, supply, and execution of retail and industrial projects.
As part of its growth and expansion strategy, the company is looking for a dynamic and experienced Chief Finance Officer (CFO) to lead its finance function and support strategic business decisions.
Role Overview:
The Chief Finance Officer (CFO) will oversee the company’s entire financial operations, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and providing strategic financial leadership to the management team.
This role will report directly to the Managing Director and will involve managing a team of finance and accounts professionals while driving financial planning, reporting, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning & Strategy : Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts aligned with organizational goals. Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities while advising senior leadership on strategic financial decisions.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Indian accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Cash Flow & Liquidity Management: Monitor cash flows, forecast liquidity requirements, and optimize working capital management to ensure financial stability and operational efficiency.
- Budgeting & Cost Control: Lead the annual budgeting process and work closely with department heads to monitor financial performance against budget targets. Implement cost optimization initiatives to improve profitability.
- Financial Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks including foreign exchange exposure, interest rate fluctuations, and credit risks, particularly relevant to import-export operations.
- Tax Planning & Compliance: Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, Customs, and other regulatory requirements. Work closely with external tax advisors to optimize tax planning strategies.
- Internal Controls & Audit: Develop strong internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy. Coordinate with internal and external auditors and implement recommended improvements.
- Treasury & Banking Relationships: Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions, negotiate banking facilities, and oversee investment strategies to maximize returns and minimize financial risk.
- Leadership & Team Development: Lead and mentor the finance team while fostering a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
- CA / CPA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- Minimum 8–10 years of finance experience
- 3–5 years in a leadership or managerial role
- Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, taxation, and regulatory frameworks
- Expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling
- Experience with ERP systems and Tally
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to present complex financial insights to senior management
Preferred Industry Experience:
Candidates with experience in Import-Export, Trading, Retail Projects, or Manufacturing sectors will be strongly preferred.
