About the Role.
The Senior Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure financial accuracy, maintain statutory compliance, and support budgeting, audits, and internal process improvements.
This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and hands-on experience in accounting software such as Tally ERP, SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle, or Zoho Books.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting & Bookkeeping:
Manage general ledger and journal entries,
Handle month-end and year-end closing activities,
Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR),
Perform bank reconciliations and vendor reconciliations, and
Maintain intercompany transaction records
2. Financial Reporting & MIS:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow),
Generate MIS reports and financial dashboards,
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, and
Provide financial analysis and insights to management,
3. Taxation & Statutory Compliance:
Manage GST, TDS, VAT, and other statutory filings,
Ensure timely tax payments and regulatory adherence,
Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors and
Maintain compliance documentation.
4. Budgeting & Forecasting:
Assist in annual budgeting and financial planning,
Monitor budget vs actual performance,
Analyze financial variances, and
Support strategic financial decisions
5. Internal Controls & Process Improvement:
Strengthen accounting procedures and internal controls,
Improve operational efficiency,
Support ERP implementation and automation, and
Maintain accurate financial documentation.
6. Team Leadership & Coordination:
Supervise junior accountants,
Provide training and guidance, and
Collaborate with other departments for cost control and financial transparency
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (BCom/MCom preferred).
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Expertise in GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
Proficiency in accounting software (Tally ERP, SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle, Zoho Books).
Advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, MIS Reporting)
Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities,
Leadership and communication skills,
High attention to detail, and
Ability to meet deadlines.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Accuracy and timeliness of financial statements,
Efficient month-end closing,
Statutory compliance adherence,
Process improvement and error reduction, and
Effective team supervision.

Salary Range : Competitive salary based on experience
(Industry range approximately ₹30,000 – ₹45,000 per month for experienced candidates)
